Old City Tour

Our “Old City Tour” brings us into the very heart of Baku. The inner City or İçəri Şəhər as it is called in Azerbaijani. We start up at the Gosha gala (main entrance) and do a number of stops until we reach the Maidens tower. Each stop gives us the opportunity to enjoy and learn more about the historical Baku. Then we drop into a friendly carpet shop and learn more about Azerbaijani handmade carpets. After a lovely cup of tea, we continue our excursion through the narrow alleys until we reach the palace of the Shirvanshahs. The palace is described by UNESCO as “one of the pearls of Azerbaijan’s architecture

Vår stadsvandring I gamla stan tar oss in i själva hjärtat av Baku. På azerbajdzjanska heter det İçəri Şəhər och betyder den inre stan. Vi börjar vår rundvandring vid Gosha gala (tvillingportarna) sedan stannar vid flera platser tills vi når Jungfrutornet. Vid varje stop får vi möjlighet att lära oss mer om det historiska Baku. Vi avnjuter en härlig kopp te i en matt-souvenirbutik och får lära oss mer om konsten att göra handknutna mattor. Därifrån fortsätter vi genom de smala gränderna tills vi når farm till Shirvanshah palatset, som beskrivs av UNESCO som en av pärlorna i azerbajdzjansk arkitektur.
